Coaching

We act as trusted advisors, providing coaching services to help our clients anticipate and navigate their way around challenges and opportunities.

Our coaching team are adept at working alongside clients to find the best possible solution - whether the issue relates to the sheer loneliness of leadership, a boss or board which doesn't fully appreciate the complexity of a particular subject, or how to tackle a new and unexpected challenge. We coach our clients through a variety of topics, including leadership, change management, governance, structure, strategy, team related issues, and much more.

With the exception of working with leadership teams, all our coaching is delivered on a 1:1 basis and is always strictly confidential. Our approach to coaching is collaborative and practical, meaning that we are trusted to draw on our management understanding, subject expertise and coaching skills to:

  • Provide strategic counsel: challenging, supporting, 'sense-checking' and validating the lines of thinking held by our client
  • Provide additional insight and practical support on specific issues
  • Bring an external perspective to bear on the issues and topics under consideration
  • Support and nourish 'change agents', helping them find and sustain the personal resources required to deliver change

Examples of our recent coaching engagements include:

  • Working with a board member in one of the world's foremost energy companies to nurture, champion and embed profit-driven, social innovation as part of future growth strategy
  • Coaching the lead sustainability champion in a FTSE 20 company to help navigate the CR agenda through a prevailing climate of skepticism to the concept. The company is now often lauded as an exemplar in the sustainability field
  • Working with the Executive Director of one of the world's leading NGOs to address a range of leadership issues and enhance the effectiveness of the leadership team
  • Working with unit heads in several corporate and NGO organizations to address a range of issues related to personal performance, personnel challenges, 'boss-related' issues, etc.
