C&E Breakfast Dialogue on 5th March 2012
Focused on driving innovation and business growth through CR, this session was co-led by Manny Amadi of C&E and Jeb Brugmann who in 2004 co-established The Next Practice with the late Prof. C.K. Prahalad - the acclaimed business guru and author of ‘The Fortune at the bottom of the Pryamid’.
As the emphasis of CR evolves from risk-led drivers towards opportunity, innovation and sustainable business, how should practitioners harness growth through CR? How do you overcome the range of challenges (know-how, access to resources, organisational structure, culture, etc) that must first be navigated before the promise of opportunity is realised? And how do you sufficiently align CR programmes around your company’s business strategy and ensure you secure full commercial value from your CR investments?
These, and related topics were explored at the session attended by lead Sustainability and CR professionals from companies and NGOs including Aviva, Boots, Diageo, Unilever, Maersk, L'Oreal, UBS, WWF, Plan UK, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Linklaters LLP and others.
